advice about a neighbors dog.

Play the rabies card. Rabie shots for dogs are not nearly 100% effective. Talk to the Vet and see if you can order him to request a quarantene of the dog. Even if not...report to the cops your fears about rabies...that should get someone's attention-request a quarantine. Usually the township has a clause about protecting the public from "dangers". Talk to the Township Code enforcement officer. Write a letter to the Supervisors. Or go to the next supervisor's meeting.

If all else fails throw a hamburger with aglass from a broken light bulb mixed in. J/K

Also you could see your lawyer and have him send a certifies/registered letter requesting her supply proof that the dog is rabie free.

I would never poison any animal, no matter how vicious. I was referring to the neighbor. Something quick and barely detectable.

Seriously, I would stay away from her. Maybe just let her know you are on to her.

Write EVERYTHING down, and yes get your dog to a vet. Maybe a lawyer, and get some witnesses on board.

the children are gonna eat the dog ?

If you have to ask?

If she brings the dog back, get video-tape evidence of any future episodes & sue her in small claims court for each one of them.

That's my $.02

You guys who are recommending cruelty to the dog......

yeah it's bad, but... you usually don't go to jail for shooting a dog, the owner on the other hand....well... you will.

it's the owner who SHOULD get the business end, not the dog, the dog just does what a dog does....can't really blame them for that, and thats why you have to be a responsible owner... too many "can i keep him mom?" folks out there with dogs

I don't believe in abusing animals, but that dog needs to be shot before it kills or hurts someone.

I've seen some hellacious arguments over dogs buddy!

This problem can't be solved on this board. Any thing concerning animals can get involved and heated. Cruelty to both animals and attacks on humans.
I think the topic starter will have to work this one out with his local law enforcement personnel.

Time to end our involvement.
