Adventure Bike owners feedback

I have a 2022 Africa Twin base manual with the quick shifter. I do have aftermarket tubeless wheels, which is an upgrade and a larger wind screen. It is the finest motorcycle I have ever owned. The Yamaha T7 is better off road for sure, it does not have cruise, heated grips and has a smallish gas tank limited range. There are other options as well they are all compromises. Yes it's heavy, but it's capable in a lot of different situations. Has great composure I don't know how to describe it. I have ridden it in a lot of different terrain, it excels on gravel roads, highways and hard pack. I enjoy the cruise, the heated grips, large screen apple car play and ride modes.

I just bought a 2024 Africa Twin AS with the 19" front wheel. It's a wonderful bike! It rides beautifully on the road (which is my primary use case). When the stock tires wear out, I plan to put on slightly more aggressive rubber (maybe 70/30 as opposed to the 90/10 road biased tires that came on it). The goal is to explore more gravel and two-track roads to get to more remote campsites. I think a smaller bike would be better for single-track.
