If I use the Advanced Auto discount code to buy a battery online, for store pickup.......do they pull the battery for you, or can I choose my own battery and take it to the counter?

I ask, because I want to select a "fresh" battery regarding build date.

Who makes their batteries?

Thanks!

Order online then call the store and ask them not to pick the order. Tell them you want to select your own battery.

Every time I ordered from Advance (on-line) and picked it up in the store the order was already pulled.

Maybe you can "sweet talk" the counter guy to selecting you a fresh battery. Being nice always helps.

Good Luck...

What's the difference? The warranty is from the date of purchase. A one month old or three month old battery will charge up the same once it is in your vehicle.

What HTSS_TR said. Just try to keep them from pulling it first.

Last I heard, Johnson Controls makes their batteries, but don't quote me.

Thanks everyone. The $40 dollar off coupon code is hard to pass up.

Wallyuwl, I guess I am just a bit paranoid that they might try to pass off an old battery that's been sitting around for a half year or even longer.

I got to pick mine.

If you ask for a later build battery, they'll give it to you.
I've bought three batteries from AAP in the past year using discount codes, and they were all dated within three months of build.
Apparently, AAP sells enough batteries that freshness is not a concern.

Just got 2 gallons of the Valvoline MaxLife Transmission fluid, and 2 32oz bottles of Valvoline Dot 3/4 Syn. brake fluid for 30 bucks and change. Came to $50 before the coupon code.
