what additive do you prefer to use in your oil and what is it for cleaning, lubrication, etc. if you dont run additives just say none please

I use the following:

1. Fuel: Techron or Shell V-Power additives every 5-7k miles
2. Engine - nothing, just a major brand synthetic. For older cars might might run Lubegard engine flush or Lubro Moly engine clean once around 60-80k miles.
3. Transmission: try to use Lubegard Red at recommended doses with non-synthetic (and mostly OEM) fluids. When I use synthetic ATF (like M1 for Dexron III transmissions) I don't use anything.
4. Differentials - nothing except 75w-90 or 75w-140 Mobil 1 synthetic depending on application.
5. Transfer case - nothing except recommended weight synthetic (in my case 75w90 M1 gear oil)

Typically, I don't use additives in the oil. However, if I have an engine that needs some cleaning, I'll toss in some MMO for a bit. As far as fuel, I'll toss some Regane in every once in a while.

For fuel I sometimes like to add Regane or Techron. And I sometimes have added MMO.

I used Auto-RX for quite a while. I still have a couple of bottles of the stuff. Currently I have given zMAX a try and after I change oil I think this winter I will try MMO. In the past a long time ago I used Lubegard Engine Treatment. For cleaning I have considered using a nonsolvent flush when changing oil. I have switched back and forth between conventional and synthetic motor oils. I currently like Valvoline pretty well. It seems to produce good UOAs.

I have a manual transmission (or transaxle) and I just use transmission fluid of the correct type.

I have not used Lubegard power steering supplement in my power steering in this car. But I used that product in the power steering unit of a car I owned in the past and the stuff really seemed to work. If I ever have a power steering unit that squeals in the cold I might get some of that Lubegard stuff.

I use LC, to clean, lubricate & protect,
like it says on the banner above...& because
I have a gallon of it in the cupboard, and
need to use it up.

I use an LC/Schaeffer's 132 mix typically in all our cars.

I currently have zmax in my 91 BMW because it cured a wintertime startup tick.

LubroMoly 1/3 can of MOS2 in the oil. If I can get the LubroMoly additive for the gear oil cheap, I would use some.

I tried STP once to see if it would quiet the cold start knock in my engine, but it didn't, so I never used it again.

Nothing in the tranny except Dex-6. I was going to try LubeGard, but I decided not to.

I like some LM mos2 in my oil for some added moly and as a friction reducing, AW additive. I also like MMO in the sump when some gentle cleaning is required, although I use roughly half the recommended amount as I'm off the "a little is usually enough" school of thought when it comes to additives.

Mostly: moly (a can of lubromoly each summer) and zddp (1.5 oz Lucas break-in Zinc) each oil change. Also, MoS2 powder in the rear diff.

I like to try out new things though and am giving MMO (mostly in fuel) a try these days.

I run a cocktail of MMO, 2 stroke oil (left over bottles) and gasoline to thin it out. Maybe 4 oz. per 12 gallons.

I will also substitute a quart of MMO every 3-4 OCI's to keep everything clean inside. I would love to see how the inside of my Subaru engine but it's too much of a pain.

On a regular basis, Nothing.
Once a year, for the last 1k of an OCI I will use 16oz of MMO.
This has proved itself to me to do some cleaning, but I see no reason to use it 'all the time'.
In the Gas, once a year, I use 4oz of MMO or 4oz or Canadian Tire Fuel injector Cleaner for 5 consecutive tanks. Again, these products have shown themselves to have a positive effect, but don't (to me) to be required on an ongoing basis.
In the distant past I have used STP in a chronic oil burner, It proberbly extended the engine's life 6 months at a time when I had few other options.
