I am going to put a Motor Guard bypass filter on my new Mustang auto transmission with a cooler. I am wondering if it is worth bypassing the entire factory cooling loop through the radiator, or if I should route the aux cooler in series after the factory cooler? Also, I thought that putting an inline oil filter after the Motor Guard would help create enough pressure drop to run the Motor Guard. So, I would be running from the transmission pump outlet to the Motor Guard inlet followed by an inline filter, followed by an aux cooler, followed by the Motor Guard outlet, and back to the transmission sump. Does this sound like a good set up? I don't know if I even want the factory cooler hooked up to this in Southern California.
