added 200mps to my comcast for no extra charge

Before moving 2 years ago, we had 1gb down/1gb up symmetrical fiber with no data cap for only $70/mo

it was flippin glorious
Our company offers 1gb symmetrical for $77.95 actual payment and they also offer 500/500 for $67.95

We do fine on their 300/300 for $57.95 and looking at their website they are no longer have reference to the 300/300 just the above two tiers. Since its a fiber co-op I am sure we wont be forced into the higher plan but not offering it to new subscribers

Reading some of the posts in here, I wonder if any of you having horrible experiences with cost and data caps have tried Verizon and T-Mobile Home Internet. Cost you nothing to try out, if it doesnt work, return it, meantime dont cancel your existing service until you are sure it works good.
The key here is a really strong signal from a local tower. With both companies (verify) I think they allow you to try it for 2 weeks.

I've tried them for work at project sites, usually MGP and environmental sites at mixes of urban, suburban, and rural areas around IL/IN/WI. We had the biggest issues with TMO at rural areas for signal strength and during congestion times but had higher speeds overall. VZ had a more consistent signal strengths at a trade of overall speed. AT&T rolled out their 5G internet too but I haven't tried them yet, I don't want to deal with another AT&T contract since I had to manage 4 of them.

Overall they'll do well for the general home user in most cases but I wouldn't recommend them if the user has a VPN for work. Lots of dropped packets breaking the connections. Inclement weather also negatively affects the signal.

Agree, general home use and ONLY if you have a strong signal and tower nearby. Reading these posts in here some might benefit from it and its free to try out.

We get flyers weekly for T-Mobile home internet. The fine print says the speeds are like 25-50mb/sec. And it’s cellular. Gross.

I got a little paranoid reading about data caps and had to check up on my stats with Cox. Oddly, THEIR site seemed to run a bit slow! I found out I have unlimited data. Probably because I never get close to 1TB (~500MB Nov. and Dec.) used and if I ever did go over X-amount, I'd get a notification that there would be a policy change and would be charged accordingly. Last year they actually LOWERED prices! (I'm not responsible for any heart attacks/strokes/aneurysms that last sentence may have caused!) I kept the same speed, 250/20 and saved $15 and pay $50! I think this was done due to Google Fiber slowly spreading in this area and Cox wanting to retain customers.

Yeah but you have to ignore what they say if you're unhappy with your current provider and see. It cost nothing to try.
25/50 sounds like LTE so you are not in an area with available 5g which can go into the 100's mbps if near a 5g antenna.

i have a cousin that has three services at his house. comcast, tmo ,and starlink sat. he has a really good t mo signal and gets 300 whne he does a speed test. he said it fluctuates through day depending on the tower load.
