Active Fuel Management (AFM) heavier oil better for lifters?

Had a question about the active fuel managment on GM trucks and cars.
Getting ready to change the oil in a new to me 11 Tahoe 5.3. I have read that using a heavier grade oil like 10w40 may make this afm lifters last longer.
Is there any truth behind it ?

Thanks ! I do have the AFM turned off as i can not stand it. Whenever it does fail i am gonna install the LS 7 cam and LS 9 lifters and all the other goodies to rid myself of this system. Problem is i also have a 06 Monte Carlo with the same AFM system.
