Action Movie Recommendations

That's an enjoyable flick, a little more psychological and cerebral than 90 minutes of car chases and explosions.

I don't have streaming services but if "Wrath of Man" or "Nobody" are available, I'd recommend them. "Nobody" has a lot more action, if you get my drift...

Any old Arnold or Sylvester movie. I just re-watched the original Predator movie a couple of nights ago. As always, a classic. RIP Carl Weathers.

Interesting. I went to see Collateral when it came out, and rarely has a movie underwhelmed me more (Star Wars with Jar Jar Binks not counting). Maybe I should give it another shot.

I'd like some recommendations for good action movies that can be enjoyed on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Paramount+. I've recently enjoyed The Pacific, Reacher, Primeval, and Woman of the Dead. Whatcha got?

Dredd, Dredd Dredd Dredd.

Then The Raid (to check what Dredd was inspired from), then Mile 22 because The Raid's Iko Uwais and a stone cold (stone cold - like "The Departed" level stone cold) Marky Mark are in it, then Dredd again.

DISCLAIMER: After Mile 22, an Iko Uwais rabbit hole is expected. This will, unfortunately, inevitably, cause a slip towards Wu Assassins.

Instead of slipping into said hole, re-watching The Raid and Mile 22 is a good system cleanse.

Then, you can re-rewatch Dredd again, while hoping for a sequel of Mile 22 which will never come because it bombed.

And, of course, Steel Rain every Christmas.

Dredd with Karl Urban is great. The Raid and The Raid 2 are amazing, do not be troubled by the subtitles

Great suggestion. Also, I highly recommend “Gone in 60 seconds.” That film had enough automotive action and carnage to give any insurance adjuster heart attack

I guess it boils down to what you think of as "action". I like The Highwaymen, or Road to Predition, Or the Outlaw Josey Wales - all great movies, with action, but as much a Drama as an action flik?

The Reacher-Paulie fight, Reacher Season Finale is hilariously action packed. Not a show for impressionable youth though. I see the whole thing as sick humor. Murder is wrong.
