ACEA A3 best value?

Is Castrol syntec blend 10w-40 the best value for an ACEA A3 oil? I think most are full synthetics.

Where did you see that Castrol Syntec Blend meets ACEA A3? I don't see any reference to A3 in the PDS.

Wal Mart SUPERTECH Synthetic 10w30 HM is the best value in A3 oil at $2.40/q. It works pretty awesome for me.

Syntec Blend used to meet A3 when it was SL/GF-3; it no longer does under SM/GF-4.

There was a time when I would say the Schaeffer Supreme 7000 blend would be the best value. Now, the data sheet still shows A3, but they lowered the HTHS.

Delo 400 15w40 in it's CI-4/Iso-Syn iteration was rated ACEA A3..$0.99/qt.

Synthetic HM....SUPERTECH must be the only one of those. Do you know if it's closer to a 30 or 40 at operating temp?

Which vehicle is that oil most suited to:
99 f150 v6
90 300zx twin turbo

A3 means at least 3.5 HT/HS which probally is 12-14cSt.

I finally got the hood open on the 200k CGT. After 4000mi w/OT up to 170c(!), it only used 10-12oz. Not bad, I don't wanna hear any more comparisons to conventional oil. I topped with Mobil 1 Truck and SUV, did not want to buy a 'nother whole jug. For engines that can't really use a HDEO 40wt, this oil is a good pick.
