Oil changed on the 2024 Tahoe today with 19,962mi on the clock. Truck's 8th oil change.

OUT: Mobil 1 Euro FS 0W-40, ACDelco UPF63R
IN: Same

Filter looked good, I am very pleased with it... especially when getting the Amazon deal of 12-pack case for $16-19. A touch sloppy on the glue but not a big deal. Nitrile ADBV was still pliable and held well against the center tube of the one end-cap. Bypass valve has those ridges (I believe that some are not a fan of), but it was very well seated/tight in there. I was able to hold the entire element by it without it falling off.

Overall I'm pleased. I think this is my combo going forward.

I'll prob have a post up soon about my 20k review as I am super close, but still love this truck. By far the best new vehicle experience I've ever had.

I see that Microgard Select photo bombing. 😁
Good start to a long history. Keep it up!
Thanks! I try... I want to keep this truck for a long time. I try to service it well with a blend of reasonable cost/quality. I have all intentions of this being my daughter's first vehicle years from now. Maybe Dad will get an Escalade!

ha ha nice plan! 🚙

Looks to be a decent little filter. I wish it had a silicone ADBV and a metal crimped seam for the price.

These filters used to be known to be an M1 oil filter copy. I wonder if these filters will change in the wake of M1 changing.

Thanks!

Nice work sir and great photos.

This "Automotive Maintenance Tracker", is this an app or spreadsheet template?
It is an Excel spreadsheet I made moons ago. All you enter is date mileage and info and it calculates everything. It has multiple tabs that all report back to the “main” page that gives a snapshot of your services. Each tab has a spot to specify your interval.

I can upload it on here, my latest version, if anyone’s interested in using it.

I don't think the board will allow an Excel file upload. You'd have to upload it to a shared location, then post the link to download it from there.

Nitrile or AEM?

Nice pics. Would you please take a pic of both sides of the leaf spring after cleaning the oil off. We need to see if it passes the BITOG “ruffles have ridges” test.

Sure I will take some tomorrow and post them up.
