ACDelco Filter Update?

I would love to know how a different filter design can allow for "reduced oil pump stress" and "allows for greater bearing clearance" as long as it's the correct filter for the application. Does anyone understand this? Thanks.

A Champ Labs cost cutting exercise (just took the “beauty ring” cover off) that makes them more $. Standard FB procedure these days!

I'm using a new design PF48 from WalMart. There's no difference in the oil pressure that I've ever noticed.

Great, they should clearance all the old ones at rock bottom prices and I'll take one for the team and stock up. Just so no one else has to use the old style.....
