Changing the plug wires in the 91 Grand Am. The coil packs are mounted on the back of the engine under the intake manifold such that they seem inaccessable from the top without major work. Going to try from underneith tomorrow. Any suggestions as to the best way if you have done it before.

Only accessed the coils on a V6 (from underneath; they're in front), not a 4 cylinder.

You can go from underneath if the engine cradle will allow it.

The V6's can be rotated to get access to the bank against the firewall. Can this be done with the 4 cyl?

Yep, should be able to unbolt the dogbone and rotate the engine forward.

It can be done topside if you have average sized hands. Angles are not great and you'll have some skinned knuckles. Good luck. Also, it you have not done so already, replace the front dogbone.
