Just wondering if i can get access to the top of the fuel tank via the trunk floor. Why ? I and a shop (has since closed and retired,sadly) believe fuel may be leaking-maybe a small spray from a tube or ?. We have seen what looks like old leak marks on a side of the tank from under the car,i cannot get tank out at home myself.Not with a torn shoulder tendon.Shops want far to much for the work if i trusted any of them in the area besides my last shop guy.
Car does run great. We don't smell any fumes,i changed out the fuel pressure regulator (that was bad !).
16 years old. 74,000 on her. Fantastic motor but she's rusting underside,front lower fenders by door. Rear hub/bearings probably need to be changed but...she's old.
Oh. ALL brake/fuel lines replaced front to back 2 years ago.
Probably no access door or any way to cut to make one...safely !
