My 92 Chevy pickup has a new AC system (R12 to R-134a). The weak link in the whole system is the rinky-dink service port valves. I'm using required low/high R-134a adapters on my hose assembly, but these still have the smaller valves. Is there any retro-fit low/high adapters that use larger, improved valves?

I don't use conversion fittings, I use a conversion fitting on my 30# 134A cylinder or 134A can tap & use a R-12 gauge set to fill.

This is no longer the issue it once was.....Long as the owner is aware that he has 134A in the system.

Thanks guys. I may replace the outer plastic caps with something metal (with o-rings).

Right now I'm dealing with Hurricane Florence, which has caused a power outage/power surge that took out my home HVAC thermostat. So, I'll get back to dealing with the truck when I can.

Thanks Stevie. All is well, just some local flooding in my area, which will continue for a number of days. Maybe I can continue with my truck AC later today.
