AC Delco PF13CL have a bypass valve?

So I'm looking for a large-ish 3/4-16 threaded filter that fits my van and truck--and both vehicles need a filter with a bypass valve.

The Purolator L14670 is a good size for both, and has an appropriate bypass. I see that filter is used on a lot of modern Chrysler and Dodge applications....and I assume those cars use filters with bypass valves in them? When I cross reference this filter to Bosch, Fram and Wix equivanents, those filters also have bypasses.

Problem is, I ordered a couple AC Delco PF13CL (you know, the non-ecore "Classic" ones) And there appears to be no bypass valves in them. Anybody know if I can use these? Do they have bypass? The Delco site cross reference shows they work for the same Chrysler and Dodge engines, by the way.

Oh, wait! This is the kind that has holes in the bottom endcap, and I think the leaf spring moves out of the way.

What are the autos in question?

The following filters are larger versions of the L14670:

Super Tech PH8A:BPV is in the base.

Purolator L3001:BPV is in the top.

WIX 51515:BPV is in the base.

Parts Master 61515(WIX made):BPV is in the base.

Fram PH8A:BPV is in the top on the newer versions and in the base on the older.

I would probably choose either a WIX or WIX made or a Purolator.

I am using the larger Puro L3001 in place of a L14670 at the moment.

The truck is a Tacoma 4 cylinder. Calls for a Puro L10241 or equal. I usually use the longer Puro L20195/Wix 51516 or equivalent.
The L14670 also fits the mount for a shorter, fatter filter, and has a similar bypass (that I need) at a little lower pressure.

The van is a VW air-cooled with an aftermarket remote filter set-up that can use the same filters as above--and also need a bypass in the filter.

But the L14670 is a just little easier to install in the truck because of the trans cooler lines location. I thought about switching both to this shorter wider filter.

I ended up sacrificing one of the PF13CL to get a good look inside and it is the same style as the older STP metal endcap filters. Not like a Wix or NAPA.
It appears to have a strange bypass arrangement?--although not a great one IMO. Looks to me like the bottom endcap flexes up to uncover a ring of small bypass holes when the pressure gets high enough.
