This filter and AC DELCO 0w20 synthetic oil was on my cousins 2020 GMC Terrain AWD SUV. About 5,565 miles and OLM at 15%

38,991 on odometer. Put a FRAM ULTRA he supplied and some M1 0w20AFE in and on. Damage is from me as I think a gorilla put filter on and way over tightened it. So I used screwdriver to pry loose filter element out of can.

There are times when the darn filter just doesn't cooperate!

Is it just that I have missed it, or has it been quite some time since I have seen an oil filter of any brand that has a defect to the point of not filtering just fine. Yes some are only probably good for 3 to 5k miles, but that doesn't mean a defect, just lower quality, probably low priced.

So my take on this is that for someone like myself that doesn't put many miles on in a year, and likes to change filter and oil at same time, I can probably just shop price, no matter the color or brand.

Dunno. I have couple Prime Guard 241’s lined up for my focus. I don’t care where they are made, they hold up good

Prime Guards seem to be a dang good filter for $1.99. Not gonna set the world on fire with anything special, but will serve well in older vehicles that will live just fine on a $17 jug of oil and $2 filter…

Good filter for OEM. Not necessarily fancy but does the job well.
