. I hope to get a hold of a factory PF-48 tomorrow as I notice they don't seem to have a ADBV under the baseplate. If I get a few or even one I'll cut&spots here ;-)

Great looking filter! See, there is no excuse for not having reasonable pleating at the seam.

No black nitrile or red silicone ADBV in your PF 61.

If you can't see the adbv, sounds like an ecore. They have an auxiliary outer base/tapping plate that covers/hides the adbv.

According to available information including previous dissections posted here, the PF-48 and 48e spec an adbv.

Sayjac: I have a PF-48 off a 2014 Impala and there is no ADBV but it does not appear to be ECORE. I'll cut&post hopefully this evening. Says "replace with PF-63 as that's a PH 500 cross red #

Stay tuned folks

When I took the factory filter off my 2011 Terrain, there was no ADV and it wasn't a PF63, but it had a sticker on it to replace with PF63.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the factory filter was shorter so that it didn't get damaged while installing the powertrain in the vehicle.

Why no ADV is beyond me. Initial priming of the engine? The filter was positioned in a way where it wasn't necessary anyway.
