No, different number for N*

They are gone at the local non-super WM here, but I did just picked up a couple of Puro Classic's for $3.14 each.

AC Delco is switching to E-core so you might as well buy the SuperTech.

Many filter companies are consolidating filters. The larger versions are being phased out and being replaced with smaller filters with the same part number or the part number is being superseded.

Don't be surprised if you look up your PF52 equipped engine and find a PF52 the size of a PF47 in the box or the catalog is changed to say PF47. Modern oil in a well cared for engine stays so clean that even the PF47 could be considered too large.

The Baldwin B35S is still full size. Many filter companies are consolidating at the same time so it might be at the direction of car companies. The car companies buy more than the rest of us, and sometimes more than the rest of us combined so what the car companies buy mostly determines what we can buy and the price we can get it for. If they say that they will no longer equip any engine with the PF52 and that the PF47 is the OEM blessed substitute for all existing PF52 applications that's a strong encouragement for every filter company to drop it ASAP.

Just use a st3980, My PF1218 were closed out at 2.50 and I bought the LAST one. I'll use the st5.

Have you verified the AC and ST have the same amount of the same media?

Killing time this morning at Wally's. They had the PF 52 and PF 1280 both on clearance for $2.50. Could it be an AC thing? What is happening elsewhere?

According the emails from Champ, ac has GM specced media.

Various model AcDelco at my wally mart were red tagged.

There is no way you can have wider aisles and lower shelves without reducing what you stock. If forced to pay more elsewhere for Mobil 1, maybe I can at least find 0w-30.

They also killed off just about all 20w50 and a bunch of the 10w40 oils. Its all 5w20, 5w30, and 10w30 in the PCMO area. Even the 15w50 Mobil is red tagged.

The Mobil and Castrol areas took the hardest hit as far as selection.
