You wouldn't happen to have found this stuff at Lordco, would you? That's the only place I've seen it. Around 6 months ago they seem to have replaced their house brand with AC Delco oil so I'm guessing it's from the same manufacturer. No idea who, though.

I've never actually seen AC Delco motor oil.

All I know is that the service departments for GM dealerships in Canada use Petro-Canada oil as their bulk oil. Petro-Canada has had that contract for quite some time.

Do GM dealer service dept's in the USA use this oil when they service vehicles, or some other cheap bulk dino?

Probably Petro Canada as they make many of the GM lubricants including the new DexronVI Petro-Canada was the first DexVI licensee.

- But I see AC Delco brand AA batteries on sale at Menard's, a building products/hardware chain in the midwest.

Was the AC Delco brand licensed or sold off for use with obviously non-GM Delphi produced products?

A GM service advisor that posts on another forum I belong to said that the dealership bulk oil in the US was from Mobil if the dealership belongs to the GM Oil program.

The Chevy stealership nearest to me uses Quaker State as the bulk oil. The tanks are located outside the entrance to the parts department and have prominent QS decals on the tanks. Petro Canada makes the funky smelling power steering fluid for GM.
