AC Delco filters

I was researching oil filters and came across two AC Delco filters that will fit my 2000 Tundra. One is the PF53CL (classic style) and the other is the PF53 (Duraguard). The only difference between the two on their website is about 8mm in length. Does anyone know what the real differences are?
I'm researching AC Delco, Wix/NAPA gold, K&N, and AMSOIL oil filters for both my Tundra and 2003 G35 to replace Pure Ones that I've been using for years. I've been noticing higher lead ppm readings on recent used oil analysis and want to try a less restrictive, possibly bigger oil filter on both these vehicles to see if that might bring those readings down some.
I was referred to this BITOG forum to study oil filtration and either learn something, or become more confused? I think it's working!

For a different application I found the AC Delco "classic" to be tradition metal design and the regular to be Ecore design.

The best AC Delco was the Ultragruard (aka UPFxx) with synthetic media. May only be available for some Corvettes or not at all...

just replaced basic AC Delco filter on 2000 Chevy PRIZM (Corolla)w/ Toyota (Denso) , surprized the Toyota oil filter had grease on the seal (no need to apply oil w/ finger , nice touch).GM dealer oil changes before used AC Delco , never an issue .
