Red pieces look like gasket maker. I do see some small metal bits here & there as one would probably expect on break-in wear. One of the only situations one can't go by is the color of oil or filter media. Real good pictures. Thanks again.

I agree ^ that the red stuff is probably RTV gasket maker.
Other than the wonky looking seam pleat area, looks ok. Agreeing with others, red flecks some kind of gasket sealant. Overall, I think pleat findings of metal and sealant a good example of why shortening the FF oci, not a bad idea imo. I note, 2.7L Turbo Max GM engine must have block bypass.
