Do you mean evaporator?Greetings-
Can anyone recommend a safe for car AC condenser fin foam cleaner? Apparently, some cleaners can damage AC condensers.
no- the condenser below front bumper and grill. Fins are quite dirty and AC is not as great as it once was. Plenty of 134 in the system and no leaks, good compressor, etc. My first step was to replace cabin filter and now clean those fins. Purple Power is highly caustic and attacks aluminum. Simple Green is also not recommended for aluminum surfaces if exposed for more than 10 minutes. Simple Green Pro HD is formulated to be non-corrosive to all metals.Simple Green or Purple Power works well.
And yet here we are 25 years down the road, using Simple Green to clean the AC. No corrosion what so ever.Purple Power is highly caustic and attacks aluminum. Just wash it off almost immediately, well may be after 2 minutes wait before rinsing.Purple Power is highly caustic and attacks aluminum. Purple power is really caustic. It'll burn skin. I'd be very weary using it to clean A/C parts.Coil must be cold. Soak it with purple power at 50/50, then rinse like you never have rinsed before. I remove the fans and spend a ton of time reverse flushing it the opposite way.
Yes I have used these. No harm to aluminum. Rinse well with water is the key.thank you- you have used these? No problems them harming the aluminum?
