The T6 5W30 multi vehicle is rare because only a few newer diesel vehicles, like the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel, were ever specc'ed for it. The VAST majority of diesel operators are using 15W40, with a small minority (including me) using xW30 (10W30 & 15W30). None of which would hurt a non-oil burning, out of warranty gas engine, regardless of the SN rating.

1) Vehicle: Almost 15 year old Toyota(not picky oil-wise) with 250k miles(probably broken in by now). 2) Location: central MS, average low above freezing(33*F) in coldest month(Jan) and average high ~90*F for warmest three months(June, July, Aug). You want 10k for OCI and to use an easily sourced and affordable Shell or Pennzoil product. I would use Rotella T6 5w40 or Pennzoil Euro 0w40. IMHO, I would not be for sweating the hard to find or expensive stuff.
