I have seen Japanese Wagyu boneless ribeye roasts at Costco. For a group of 10 people it would not be a bad deal, relatively speaking.

$99.99/lb frozen?

neway, except for not being in my ballpark right now, I would never ever spend $630 for 3 pound of even THE best steak /

wagyu.webp

I like the Costco tri-tip with the rub. Sear it in your cast iron skillet and put it in the oven for a few minutes.
Even a Bozo can do it.

Our local Costco carries what must be the best steaks I've had from a chain grocery store. Their thick cut ribeye and sirloin are phenomenally good. I've seen the wagyu before but I'm not that particular about it.

I cook steaks sous vide so even a Choice or Select one will be just as or more tender as a Prime. Plus its fun to sear with a flame thrower after it is in the bath.

Are the Costco steaks in your neck of the woods blade tenderized? All of their meat is here, and the reason why I rarely buy it anymore.

Nope. Just very good quality. Same for their pork chops, stew beef, ground beef. It's all much better than any other grocery store around.
