It's very possible Autorx stopped your leak, but I am also saying Ugly has a valid point. It is "possible" that either point was true, but without knowing exactly what happened you can't disprove either.

I agree,of course he has a valid point.I can understand how cleaning can stop a round seal leak, when a seal of this type is coked and stiff the tension spring cannot exert enough sealing pressure on the seal surface.one of 2 things have to happen, either clean the seal and make it more pliable or swell the seal.As far as a gasket is concerned only swelling the gasket will have any effect at all.Gaskets seal by taking up space between 2 pieces and seal by mechanical clamping force, leaking occurs when that clamping force is lost for some reason, vibration, warpage of the part(s)due to heat or impact, pressure blowing the gasket out(a properly fitted and tight gasket would take a lot of pressure a seal very little) etc.if dirt or sludge were present on a leaking gasket cleaning it would cause the leak to increase not decrease.I looked on the ARX website and find no information about gasket sealing only seal leaks.I would also like to know how ARX can seal a gasket, does it contain a swelling agent?I don't question the products ability to clean sludge but i do question the ability to seal gaskets. This short article has some interesting info about gasket sealing.

I guess I'm a troll also because i dare question.

I make no claim regarding Auto-Rx chemistry to stop a gasket leak, have we had peole say it did ? yes. I don't think your a troll to pose a question however wish you had commented on the post above yours. Those results are why you buy Auto-Rx and if you care every hydrocarbon coming out of an Auto-Rx clean engine exhaust is non hazardous, every converter can function better since Auto-Rx cleaning takes the load off of engine. At $24.97 what a bargain. If you need to learn more go to www.auto-rx.com and type in "emissions" on home page search engine or any other topic.

I use ARX because it does what you claim it does and i will certainly continue doing so.I see you don't advertise it for curing gasket leaks thats why i question why someone would direct that question to the ARX website.

If you really care, UGLY3, you can go to the webzite www.auto-rx.com . At that place you can read why A-Rx can stop an oil pan leak. Or you can continue to make statements about things you aren't familiar with.

I looked all over the site and can't find any reference to curing oil pan leaks. Can you direct me the the appropriate references?

You will only find refernces to rotational seal leaks. I think in this case the leak was a crank or cam seal leak that by nature of gravity and air flow around the motor it merely appeared to be a pan gasket leaking in this Siloutte van.
