I am currently just short of 700 miles into an A-Rx clean phase. I checked the oil today. The oil on the dipstick is definately darker than it normally is at this point on a typical OCI. It appears the A-Rx is working. I will be interested to see how quickly the rinse oil darkens.

Frank, thanks for a product that at this point appears to truly do as advertised.

2,000kms up and it's dark as. Another 3,000kms to go it will be black as night. I may have to shorten clean to 4,000kms this time. Rinse oil in Mazda is now pret dark too after 1,000kms.

KieferS on engines during the clean phase liquified contaminants are now laying on the engine parts. Until the rinse cycle drives them to the filter (this is the visual oil and filter you want to look at) when someone posts black oil on the clean cycle they should change the filter and make sure to do two Auto-Rx applications as this type engine is beyond just dirty.

Extending the clean mleage way beyond our specs is self defeating. You want the maximum stength for the miles called stated by the particular application

The FAQ and all other information you need is on www.auto-rx.com for a good application.

Thank You

Thanks.
I've ran it for 1500 miles now and i'll be changing the oil either today or tomorrow morning to begin the rinse phase.

Glad to say my oil is far from black. Just darker than typical at this point of the OCI.

I would post a photo but I am not sure exactly how to do it.

when i first got the stuff a month ago, i put most the bottle in my 4cyl. crank case, then like..2 oz in some valvoline synpower.
Didn't affect it much that day, infact, the oil never changed color.
Today, i poured a little, on complete accident for the record, into my bathroom sink/
It was real weird, the oil had turned very very dark brown and ususally, when i spill oil, it washes away, reluctantly, but still washes away rather easily. Today, i put a stream of water on it, and the oil washed away but there was still thick, very thick residue left on the sink.

Last I checked the water soluability of motor oils is nil.
Why would you have oil in the vacinity of a bathroom sink?
Unless you are like some of use that protect our oil stash under the bed, with a revolver close by.

Perhaps you did not agitate the 2 oz. of ARX into even suspension in the valvoline oil. Perhaps got a high concentration of ARX when you "accidentally" spilled some in the sink.

possible, i never shaked the synpower after i put the rx in it.

I keep oil under my sink drawer, and i took it up to take a whiff and it slipped from my hands

Frank is going to have to come up with some new "clean" and "rinse" instructions for those who want to use the product topically.
