Hi,
Many know that I use FP, and believe that it causes a knock in my 98 Chevy S-10's 4.3L engine. The noise is only there (it is very intermittent even when FP is used), when FP is used. Only then!
However, I use it in all my cars. They all are very well maintained, and all run great. No mileage or power improvement was noticed from using FP, though I wasnt really expecting anything. It does not decrease the octane requirement in my BMW, and I cant say (until 1 month from now) if it decreases emissions.
However, I am sure that it adds lubricity and protection to the entire fuel system. I have come to really notice it lately.
My chevy truck has the fuel pump right by the driver's door, kind of sitting at the top of the tank, out in the open, under the pickup bed. Since new, I could always hear it prime, and hear it running. Similarly, the fuel pump in my BMW is under the rear seat, hidden by a small metal door with some foam insulation. I can hear it when running as well. Since Ive been running FP, both fuel pumps are SIGNIFICANTLY quieter.
This shows to me the fact that it does help protect pumps, etc., and is very good for the fuel system.
I highly reccomend this product, and for that reason, in and of itself, it is worth it!
