Getting a rather lengthy error message on start up, on a Dell Vostro 220, with an E7400 Core 2 Duo processor, running Vista.

"Could not load file or assembly "Mom.Implementation, version 2.0.3595.17913, Culture=neutral, publikeytoken=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified".

Thoughts? Try to resolve it by running the repair tool, using the recovery CD?

PS, I just Googled "mom.implementation error" and it was like the first or second link I came across. :-)

In the long run, I'd just tell you to dump Vista and move to Windows 7.

Not my call. Plus, some crucial software on this computer hasn't been signed off on, for Windows 7 quite yet.

Are you saying you totally cleaned out every trace of "ATI" stuff and then installed the newest version?

Or try to revert to the previous version in the Device Manager?

Earlier quote: "Download and install the latest copy."

That has been tried. I downloaded and installed the latest version from ATI. It doesn't resolve the problem.

But no, I didn't "clean it out" before doing so. I haven't tried reverting back to an earlier version, either.

That's why I'm here.... trying to learn something that I didn't know how to do when I woke up this morning.
