I wanted to replace the 1986 vintage Hazet set with the new "Flank Drive" versions so I got these, here is through 24 the bigger ones will come back with me next time. Nice wrenches. These are line wrenches from Stahlwille. I have no idea what chrome alloy they are made from but they feel light and very comfortable in the hand, they are not polished, blasted or ground at all, this is their naked finish. They are super strong, fit perfectly and don't spread. A bit pricey in the USA I suspect (I haven't looked).
 
Nice! I have an SK set that only goes to 19 and I would love 20-24. I thought snap on made the best line wrenches on the planet, I've never even considered the stahlwilles. But I suppose wrenching on euro cars with euro tools is what dreams are made of.
 
The Hazet wrenches in an E 28 tool kit are very good. I kept a spare 8-10mm open end on the radiator shelf in the 528e. Darn good wrenches

Very nice. Even the new ones look vintage. I see why you prefer not polished, ground, chrome coated, blasted etc. Makes hiding flaws that much harder too.
 
Nothing like German made products! Nice pics Trav.....Those wrenches will still be here after most of us are gone. You have to pay a lot of money to get quality tools made in USA. Respectfully, Pajero!

Not at all. the are rounded enough that they don't bite and flat enough to be comfortable. The 600N is probably the most common wrench in garages and industry and haven't changed in decades other than the improved drive profile. The 30+ year old ones I have are still nice and feel exactly the same.

Hmm...Working on Japanese cars with Japanese tools can be pretty good, perhaps better on average. Euro cars has to include FRENCH cars, after all, and they can be a rather BAD dream. I didn't think impact drivers (the kind you hit with a hammer) actually worked until I got my Ko-ken Attack Driver. Tora! Tora! and ..er..Banzai.
