Well guys , move over, Danica may win the 500 today. Those other male egos are gonna be destroyed if a GIRL wins that race.......................

But, look for race cars there today that look like the ones off the showroom floor . Yep, a return to the 60's when the cars Dad brought home look just like the ones on the racetrack. So, today at 1 pm , ( Fox , noon-5:30 ) be there.

Ms Danica Patrick, on the pole:at 196 mph, you go girl.

If you are a NASCAR fan , its easy. Its Sunday, you all aren't gonna go tell on me , are you? There was no nudity, no bad words,no politics, no religion, and a nice site that was copied and posted, all nice and tidy for the ego crowd and all. I did all the right things not to upset the sensitivity of a few.
 
It's one thing to go fast with no other car on the track and another to do so while maneuvering through 42 other cars also going 190+ mph. Kevin Harvick has proven he can do it and I think he will do it again. A full sweep for "Happy".
 
I have only been to a few races, but it can get in your blood. The sound, wow, that sound down the straight away, there is no sound like the sound of V-8's. Hey , the family car came with those once.....................
 
I don't mean to be sexist but I do not think a woman can win. Nothing to do with skill. She was ahead yesterday till things got tight. Once the cars started pushing each other, she got nervous and left the race with a "mystery" performance problem. There was nothing reported wrong with the car. Its nerve. She gets scared. If she's not first she gets too nervous in the pack and falls out. Things like yesterday's car cash get in her head. Not being afraid of death is required to race. IMO its because women are genetically inclined NOT to take risks that can get you killed. A woman's natural instincts for self preservation kick in. Protect the family, protect the children. Where a man takes a risk that results in an engine in the grandstands. But thats what it takes to win. Risks women don't/can't take.

I believe what you said is THE most important factor-no fear. The rest is an individual thing, I believe. The right genetics would work for a woman too, I think. I truly believe it has more to do with age than anything else. When one is young one is less prone to fear. Add a wife, kids, and several previous "close calls" and I believe it gets harder with the years to lay I all out there.
 
I kinda agree with leaky although I think she has some potential and if not she can always be a model. There is video of her on YouTube doing a bikini shoot. I did not realize how attractive she was lol. My wife said the same thing. My wife's exact words were dang she's HOT!! My reply why yes honey she is

She had it yesterday. Fastest car on the track. Disappeared after 20 laps. They interviewed her after she mysteriously dropped out. Interviewer kept asking repeatedly what was wrong. She kept dodging, then finally said that the engine "lost power" and "shut down". Then in the background the mechanics fired the car up. Sounded beautiful..Her comment was "oh, it started, thats strange". I swear she quit. Lost her nerve over something. Maybe the speed and the bumping I don't know. I think she's good enough, her team is good enough, she lacks what it takes to win. No fear of death. I am rooting for her, I wanna see her win. Guys will push her but shes gotta stay still and stop looking for ways out of a crowd. She has the fastest car and the best team. Shes just gotta stay still and stop tweaking in and out of the line. In sports its the equivalent of "hearing footsteps". Anticipating the hit before catching the ball = drop. At Daytona always looking in the mirror = lose.
 
Its about time some male ego was kicked to the curb. Its gotta be rough for her. Be awesome if she wins!

K. What's really going on here. You are butthurt over something which obviously has nothing to do with topic or direction of thread.
Man up,don't beat around the bush,say what you are trying to say in a roundabout way or drift. This passive aggressive stuff is cowardly at best
 
He's all bent out of shape because his thread in which he posted a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid video and made references to women only, try it out, and cowgirl boots got deleted. Didn't make any sense then, doesn't make any sense now. I was sort of hoping someone would explain it before it got deleted.

Then he posted the data and statements thread....

Now this...

What is this about again? Is it about the new cars, or about Danica or what?

Maybe it is just me, but there seem to be a lot of mostly incoherent topics...

Thanks. So this is his way of being a non conformist yet conforming. Utter absurdity
