I told my daughter that I'd never forgive her for the size of this thing. We got three big pumpkins that day from "Amos" (I'm here to see Re-H-chael

) Actually Amos the Amishman is the son of the original farmer that we bought big pumpkins off of when he was about 4 or 5. He owns the farm across the highway.



This was the smallest of the bunch ...on a couple of levels, I guess.

I found that on another message board. It was someone's avatar. I found it so outright warped and strange that I had to save it just to show others what I was talking about. I then actually watch the show and found the image rather mild.

Yes, Pablo, I purposely didn't crop the images because the vista was particularly nice. The dogs ..they're strange types. You'll occasionally be subjected to a drive by jawing. Otherwise, they'll love you to death. Food, otoh, is always a target of opportunity for them.

The one in the image went to my daughter's place. They never really moved it from the resting place that it ended up at on their lawn when they unloaded it. They're wondering if they can find a good place for it to rot so they can start a giant pumpkin patch. Ours, still intact after all this time, is going to be de-seeded and allowed to rot in our compost heap.

At first I was going to ask you if Ezekiel knew you were smuggling another pumkin off his field, but then I decided to make another distasteful attempt at humor. I knew you could take it!

The Amos experience was somewhat comical. We rih-ole into his common area between his house and various buildings (barn ...etc) and we see Amos in some room doing something ..and a toddler on the ground right outside the room. The daughter (about 6-7, maybe) comes out of the house and merely stands there with a subdued/muted expression. In hindsight, I should have attempted to engage her with some type of greeting. This was in contrast to his father's place when he was a youngster. There, like Amos, his father came out from where ever he was with a big smile ..the wife and kids popped out and even the little dog they had got in on the (would be) celebration. You would have thought that it made their day (for all I know, it did

Anyway (in response to the "snakes" reference) ..Amos was barefoot. I was wearing some Nike~ sandal type thing and I was squishing into the soil (it had that plastic sheeting that retains moisture and inhibits weeds. It was oozing liquid everywhere I stepped. Amos just didn't think much of it.
 
All of the Allan clan are sporting more weight than they should. My excuse is ..even Anakin Skywalker ended up looking like Humpty Dumpty after the wringer he was put through ..but "powerful Jedi was he ..powerful Jedi"

My daughter Kim got a lapband procedure done. It's slowly reducing her size. She wasn't "unhappy" per se~, but wants to return to her scholastic size. She was the only female member of the middle school football team. Her coach still sports a picture of her on his desk.

..as you can see ..it's not an issue between her and her boyfriend. I'm really pleased with this bonding. He's basically a big boy ...endlessly playing with toys ..but each day they appear to do nothing except figure out how to make each other happy. Money couldn't hang in his wallet if his life depended on it. He's a hard worker ..gets the biggest bonus from the boss based on productivity (he works for a sprinkler installation company) every year. They're very comfortable with what they are. Oh ..he's basically a very likable gigantic "Joe Sixpack" ..but that doesn't mean he's ...numb....he just doesn't let anything get in the way of his Joe Sixpack agenda ..

Well, I've got my collections of unsuitable for public viewing of my beloved Joyce. Those were taken long ago when we were (insert some classic European theme movie title here ..or its cliche ambiance) "young, foolish, and in love". Now we're less foolish and no longer young. The "in love" part has seems to have stuck.

I'll see if I can dig up a few more aesthetically complimentary images of my older daughter. Her field hockey goalkeeper image and her middle school football image showed her in her healthy self. College life killed her. Too many beer parties with the lykalotapuss teammates in the lacrosse house (house shared by all teammates of the lacrosse team).


Mark: Yes, Elizabeth is a hottie. Blond, lean, and beautiful. Her mother was wonder woman. Still is for a 50 something. She bounced back with apparent ease from 5 pregnancies. She ate like a horse. I would watch her stuffing veggies into her face like it was a race. When I asked her when she became a vegetarian, she told me that she wasn't a confirmed vegetarian ..but that was the only thing she could eat if she wanted to stuff face. She was a sensible glutton. She was also a (fill in the blank)=athon biker/runner/swimmer ..etc..etc. Sorta looked like a Bridget Nielsen from a phyique standpoint.
