A/C cycling

I recently had my A/C vacuumed and recharged AGAIN, in my never ending quest for colder A/C. The gentleman who did it said he recharged to the labeled capacity. He used Arctic Freeze refrigerant at my request and the A/C has never worked better. When temps are above about 80, it hardly cycles at all and seems normal. I've clicked it on the past couple of days just to feel how it's doing, when ambient temps are in the 50s, and it gets ice cold within seconds and will cycle every 10 or 15 seconds (whether idling or not). Is that just a result of low ambient temps, or could the refrigerant charge be a bit low? Sometimes it will click on and stay on for about 5 seconds, the go off for about 30 seconds, then click on for 5 seconds and turn off. It's absolutely freezing coming out of the vents.

It's supposed to cycle when the low side gets to about 20psi. It should cycle more often with the fan on low than when it's on high blower.

If it's freezing coming out of the vents leave it alone.

Yes. The outside temp affects the presures. Whats the temp today?

55F. I clicked it on last night when it was in the mid 40s and it was blowing ice cubes within 30 seconds and the cycle time was on for a few seconds then off for about 40 seconds.

As you know, cycling is normal for most auto AC systems.
Different ambient temps will cause a great pressure difference in the system, with resultant cycling changes.

Shorter cycles?
The system acts like it is low on refrigerant - it does not know if it is low or it is low pressure from cold outside temps.

So your car sounds normal and OK so far.
