A/C Compressor for 02 Saturn S

I've changed a clutch on a saturn with out discharging the system.. From what I recall the cheapest way to get the clutch at the time was to buy the cheapest ebay compressor and just rob the clutch off of it, then I sold the ebay compressor with no clutch for a few bucks.

Pretty sure you won't need a puller to remove the clutch. Just proper size snap ring pliers that can reach into the cavity ~ 1.5 inches deep. Normal snap ring pliers may be too shallow to reach the interior snap ring on most GM compressors.
You absolutely need a puller. The pulley is an interference fit to the snout of the compressor.

I think i will order the compressor, and then swap the clutch, if the compressor fails later, i still have the replacement compressor in a box.

Saturn's are know for blowing a thermal fuse in the clutch that effectively makes it open (electrically). Common enough it seems like a design issue.
Early Saturn's used Zexel compressors. I don't know if that changed during the S series, but I don't believe they ever had GM/Harrison compressors.
