We drive by this guy 4x/yr on our way to my parent's home in NW IA. We finally stopped and took pics this time. He is made of concrete.

"ALBERT THE BULL" is the World’s largest Bull. It is 30 feet tall and weighs 45 tons with a horn span of 15 feet and is recognized nationally.

He's not as large as Salem Sue the World's Largest Holstein, from my home state:

Her stats are impressive: 38 feet high, 50 feet long, six tons of reinforced fiberglass...

Yes -- My daughters (6 & 10) were asking if that was his "pee pee". Me, "Umm -- time to go get back on the road".

Here's the Aspen in Albert's parking lot:

Uh oh, not something a guy wants to hear from his daughters. I'm trying to live in a bubble world when it comes to my brother (11) and sister (13).

When my daughter was 7 years oil she came into the house and said " Dad, Skipper [the horse] has the best looking weiner " I guess the girls were taking about their horses weiners that day!

Hahaha! I hope I never have girls. It was tough enough having a sister who is six years younger. Luckily, her cut-off-tee, cheerleading days were short-lived. She's beem "emo" ever since. Haha

That's a good lookin' ride, btw. How's she doing for gas mileage?

Wind and speed makes a huge differnce in this vehicle. On the way there, we had to go against a strong wind. Thus, we averaged 16.8 mpg. On the way back to KC, we averaged 19 mpg. At one time, it was near 21 on the 2 -lane (lower speed limits). It drops quite a bit going from 65 - 75. According to CR, our AT tires (GY Silent Armors) have some of the worst rolling resisance as well. My next set will be LRR. I don't drive it like a baby. Full-throttle passes are quite fun (and often necessary) on the 2-lanes. Traffic on HW 71 was higher than normal due to I-29 being closed in MO and IA (flooding).

That's not too bad at all! I wonder how much of a difference the tires will make. FWIW, my mileage drops from 26-22 mpg from 60 to 75 mph. Most times, getting ther 15 min earlier isn't worth the extra cost. Even on weekend fun trips I can still get great gas mileage, because all of the romps through the twisties is countered by the 50 mph leasurely cruising through scenic areas.

Enjoy your trip, brother. I hope the weather is nice and you and your family enjoy your 4th!
