Very annoying situation today. While at Easter dinner at my mother's today, I tried replacing a couple of interior blubs on her '98 Toyota Avalon. The dome light worked out fine, but I had fitment issues with the glove box light as they seemed to be way too loose and wouldn't stay lit (even when I held them in with my finger).
The light I bought was the Osram Sylvania Long Life #37 (which the catalog specs and comes in a pair) and I'm pretty sure the blub I was trying to replace was original to the car. One thing for sure, the OEM blub looked quite different from the Sylvanias. So my next step was to try to get one from the Toyota dealer, but I thought I should get input from here first. Thanks again everyone and I appreciate it. Hope you had a good Easter as well.
