'97 Camry Green Coolant

Just bought a '97 Camry 2.2L and the previous owner had the coolant flushed at Brake Masters, and it's the green stuff. The paper says it's universal and it looks clean. Should I swap out for Toyota red? It seems to cool fine.

I would let it go.

If anything go for Zerex Asian.

Not sure how many universal coolants are green?

I've never seen a problem with green coolant in toyota's, I would be glad just if it's clean and fairly new

I'm sure it's fine.

As was stated, be glad the coolant is new. Flush/replace in 2 to 3 years just in case it is the older style (non-long life) coolant.

The universal Prestone coolant is a yellow-green color.

I would use whatever the car specs for. If green is spec'd then fine, it Toyota coolant is spec'd then use that.

Prestone all makes all models looks green but it's a dex clone. It's more of a bright green though. It's different than conventional green which is much darker and opaque. I say flush it out and get the proper stuff in there but only after you get at least a year out of it.

Should be ok but i would flush the system and fill with super long life (Pink colour.) Coolant.

FWIW, my 2002 Prizm doesn't mention Toyota Red/Pink/SLLC coolants (obviously). It says use any ethelyne glycol based coolant. I've had MaxLife coolant in there for a few years with no problems.

Keep it, unless you have a reason not to- such as replacing the water pump...
