90/10 mixture - corrosion issues?

I'm thinking that W2A, maybe even alcohol would be an OK antifreeze if there's a corrosion inhibitor in the mix.

Alcohol would probably not work out. Too low a boiling point.

When alcohol was used it need to be topped off regularly since it boiled off.

If you want to run with a water, Lubegard Kool-It or Wynn's Supplemental Coolant Additive are the way to go.

Either would be more effective at corrosion protection than 10% antifreeze.
 
If I remember correctly when alcohol was commonly used a 140* thermostat was used also.
After a warm day in winter it would boil away.
Today's engines wouldn't operate properly at 140.
