86 6.2 diesel cooling system maintenance.

Very important to add something to the fuel to make up for the sulfur that was removed to make ULSD, removing the lubrication for the injection pump. Stanadyne or 2-cycle oil (100-1) helps quite a bit.
If that was true, every diesel that existed before ULSD would be having pump problems. Which isn't the case. The sulfur isn't the lube, it's the process of removing it that made it "dry". Has been sorted out as of like near 20 years ago.
