80 oz steak challenge.

The one I like is with her and 3 other people eating Pho. She's not able to get through it, but it's still crazy watching the others do it. I think it had like 2 gallons of broth.

It won't count unless she eats all of the fat and gristle.
Not watching the video because I find this kind of deal and things like eating competitions disgusting. But I refuse to hijack the thread to discuss that.

But IIRC, at restaurants like that one with the huge steak, you have to eat the steak and the sides within the allotted time to get the meal for free. Just as in the hot-dog eating competitions, you have to eat the buns too, not just the franks.

So there's a place that one-upped The Big Texan 72 ounce steak challenge?

1. Entire meal must be completed in one hour. If any of the meal is not consumed (swallowed)…YOU LOSE!
2. Before the time starts, you will be allowed to cut into the steak, and take one bite. If the steak tastes good and is cooked to your satisfaction, we will start the time upon your acceptable approval. The time will not stop, and the contest is on, so make SURE before you say “yes.”
3. Once you have started you are not allowed to stand up, leave your table, or have anyone else TOUCH the meal.
4. You will be disqualified if anyone assists you in cutting, preparing or eating of your meal. This is YOUR contest.

5. You don’t have to eat the fat, but we will judge this.
6. Should you become ill, the contest is over… YOU LOSE! (Please use the container provided as necessary.)
7. You are required to pay the full amount up front; if you win we will refund 100%.
8.You must sit at a table that we assign.
9. If you do not win the steak challenge, you are welcome to take the leftovers with you.
10. No consumption or sharing of the leftovers is allowed in the restaurant once the contest is over.
11. If you fail to complete the challenge, you must pay the full $72 dollars.

There have been some crazy ones. Heard of one man who did it twice including all the sides. And then one woman did it three times in one hour.

That would be impressive if a defensive lineman did it. How she managed to get all that down and not put herself into a meat coma afterwards I have no idea.

I bet she was hating life later, though. That would take a weekend to shake off. Ugh.

This was featured on my youtube feed yesterday, I watched the entire thing.

Honestly its gross as heck. I think I could maybe do 24 ounces of steak with potato and salad and bread, but not 80 oz, with two of each.

I have no idea where that slender gal puts it.

Competitive eaters do something they euphemistically call "reversal" when they're done. Many are actually quite lean and don't actually eat like that. Some of the "training" done includes eating things with low caloric value that stretch out the stomach.

I remember once William "The Refrigerator" Perry entered into the Nathan's hot dog eating contest and gave up after less than 12 or so. Big people actually can't handle that much food at once any more than most can. They have normal sized stomachs, but I suppose they eat a lot more over a day.

However, I think I've eaten as much as 50 oz of assorted meat at a buffet. When I was younger and stupid.

Providing that wasn't edited cleverly the gal can put em down.

Pretty pleasant gal.

Stopped at the big texan just to see if the meat was any good, declined to accept the challenge.

First question the guys asked seating us- are you going to try the big steak challenge?
