75W-90 Vs. 80W-90

My car manufacturer recommends using 75W-90 /API GL-4 for my gear-box.I am not able to find any oil with this exact SAE grade.Is it okay if I use 80W-90 instead ? I am based out of India where the operating temp. range is 10 degrees to 40 degrees (centigrade)

Since you live in a very warm location, I would say 80W-90 would be fine for you.

Out of curiosity,what kind`ve 80W90 GL4 did you find?

Mobilube GX 80W-90 is one.
Then there are couple of others manufactured by state owned oil companies.
Valvoline Gear Gard EP 80W-90,API GL-4 is also available here.

i'm running the DuraBlend 80W-90 in a rear specd for 75W-90. no detectable difference, my limited slip seems to be working well.
the Durablend is advertised for anti-wear, and hypoid diffs like the torsen but their product data sheet is not illuminating
