History: First try with synthetics. Changed before a trip from Indiana to Colorado....Phoenix...Las Vegas....Colorado....Indiana....so mostly highway driving during winter months (alot of low gear high-RPM up-hill at times).
Oil leak got a little worse at first after change...has since subsided back to "normal"

40 wt. viscosity is 12.5 to 16.29 cSt. Your oil is holding it's vis, oxidation, nitration, & TBN are OK, iron is 1.3 ppm/1000 miles (good!), things look good to me.

Original turbo?...260k?

I'm pretty sure it's not the original turbo since it is water cooled & oil cooled...the originals were just oil cooled.

I have no idea when the turbo was replaced.....somewhere in it's 260,000 mile past......I've only had it for a couple of years....

I think it's done breaking in......

Looks great! Considering the cold winter, the iron number is even more impressive. You can't go wrong with wear numbers that low in a turbo either.

Very impressive report. I am thinking of going to the 10W40 in one instance, we don't see too many Amsoil 10W40 reports and this one looks very good. You did add 2.5 quarts in 7500 miles but still an excellent report. 10,000 miles on this oil easily, perhaps 12,000-15,000

I was just thinking of this oil last night and how we don't see many of this grade. Good report. It's actually a bit lighter then Mobil's 40wt. but it's a 10W, which is a good thing IMO. In summer mainly.
