The changes on all our cars are done. For those who hadn't read it, it goes as follows:

97 Cavalier 2.2L OHV (129K miles)- Pennzoil Platinum 5w30

03 Ford Expedition 4.6L (56k Miles)- 5qts Motorcraft Semi-Syn 5W-20, 2qts Motorcraft Full-Syn 5W-20

07 Ford Mustang 4.0L (30k Miles)- Valvoline Maxlife Semi-Syn 5w30

99 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L (38K Hard Miles- Big tires, offroading etc)- Mobil 1 10w30

All get NAPA Gold Oil filters. I was planning on doing 6k OCI on all of them. Does this seem like a good OCI?

I would go 6k miles on each and do a used oil analysis.
Then see if you can extend it any more.
I imagine on the ones running full synthetic you will be surprised.

The capacity of the 4.6 is only 6 quarts. You should be fine with 6K oci on the Cavalier and the expedition. I am not familiar with the 4.0 and the 2.5L

The capacity of the 4.6is 6 quarts yes. But the filter takes almost a full quart by itself, and then it wasn't up to the full line so I added the rest. The 4.0L is the Cologne Germany-built 4.0L SOHC V6. Same basic engine used in the Explorer, ranger, for decades. The 2.5 is very simialar to its big brother, the AMC 4.0L Inline 6. Actually the only real concern I had was the jeep, because it's a flat tappet engine.

I'd ditch the Mobil 1 10w30 on the jeep and replace it with 10w30 AMSoil, Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 or Rotella T 5w-40. In that order.
