I am looking for a relatively cheap set of SAE and Metric 6 point combo wrenches and that start wherever and top out around 19mm and 3/4 respectively.

All I need them for is replacing my rear knuckles, and they will be used in conjuncton with an impact. thanks in advance.

Properly made 12 points will not “shred the bolt head”.

The good ones are all “flank drive” and put the load on the faster flats, not the corners.

A poorly made 6 point tool is far more likely to round off a bolt head than a good 12 point.

I’ve been very pleased with the quality of Tekton tools - for the price, they’re a great value.

All of my combination wrenches (Hazet, Stahlwille, and made in the USA Craftsman) have the “flank drive” and work great holding against an impact, or with a wrench extender apply ludicrous torque.

No slip. No “shredding”.

Way to miss read the OP’s question and hijack the thread. The question concerned “wrenches” not sockets. Ugh

He IS the OP. 😂

I think he worded it wrong though. He’s hitting the bolt with an impact while holding the nut with the wrench.
Maybe he meant the nut will slip in the wrench when the impact spins the bolt? 🤔

Would you rather go middle of the road in price and have a quality tool for later on?
