I need a 6 mm Allen wrench that I can use to tighten a cap screw with 2 fingers (that I cannot see). Not a thumb and fingers. Just 2 fingers. It cannot be much bigger in diameter than the cap screw.

The goal is to turn the cap screw with this tool until its finger tight then use a regular Allen wrench (with much difficulty) to fully tighten.

Two fingers cannot seem to turn the cap screw.

The closest I have thought of is a 6 mm Allen socket for a 1/4" drive. Try to turn it with 2 fingers. No 1/4" drive ratchet attached. Just the socket.

I had the same problem with a single handle kitchen faucet that had worked loose and the screw was recessed so I couldn’t even see the screw due to the backsplash. A tiny Allen wrench did the trick though it took some time, turning it 1/4 of a turn at a time.

If I understand this right... would skateboard tape around the 6 mm Allen socket help?

How about this? Ratcheting 1/4 female hex on one end, 5/16 on the other. Plop in whatever bit you need and there you go. This particular one is Matco, EZ Red has one with an s shaped handle that is very useful. Check out Vim also.

I've got a set of CTA stubby hex insert bits that have a 12mm hex drive size and retention ball that fits tight into a box end wrench or socket. I picked up the torx version to do a water pump job in a super tight spot and was so impressed that I grabbed the hex set too.

Sounds like you already found a solution, but they may be worth a look anyway.

So it arrived and while I wish the knurling was more pronounced, it may work. Also possible with a 1/4" universal joint and a 1/4" ratchet I could use the ratchet to loosen or tighten the cap screw.

My original goal was just to use this 6 mm Allen socket to give my fingers more leverage when loosening or tightening the cap screw. But a short Allen wrench to do initial loosening or tightening.

Rubber band around the barrel?

This is the CTA insert bit compared to a regular sized 3/8 6mm socket. It's 13.5mm at it's widest point and 20.15mm long. The shiny thing is the detent ball that holds it in a wrench or socket.
