6.0 Powestroke Degas Bottle Puking?

So recently my 2006, 6.0 PSD has had a slight amount of coolant being pushed out the degas bottle cap but only after it's sat a day or so. It doesn't do it under heavy loads or when running full boost and my last UOA came back with no signs of coolant in the oil. All the typical indicators of HG failure are not present except for the degas bottle pushing a small amount of coolant. Trucks been studded and deleted and never did this until the weather cooled off.

I'm not sure, I thought it would puke under a heavy load if it had failed and that's not the case

I had a Ford 4.6 that had a similar style factory cap, I tested it with the cap tester kit from advance auto and it only held a few psi. The stant replacement cap held pressure but lacked the ratcheting action to prevent over tightening. My cap never leaked.

The Ford diesel talk on the web says to replace these caps regularly.

Replace the cap. They do go bad. If that's not it the only other options are head gaskets,cracked head or egr cooler.

Bill at Powerstrokehelp.com Power Stroke Help Website had a vid showing that many of these caps were defective when new. He recommended replacing them at the gitgo. Other than that, like the others have mentioned could be a head gasket starting to go or the EGR. These PS engines are notorious for that.

Update I may have over filled the degas bottle I'll post and update after checking that on level ground tomorrow
