Ultra 5w30 is also a thicker 30wt, all of my used oil analysis have shown it to be slightly above 11 cst.

The KV100 spec' is not the bottom line in determining how thick or thin an oil is in an operating IC engine. It's the HTHS vis' that counts.
Both Mobil 1 5w30 and PU have the same HTHS vis of 3.1cP therefore they will have virtually the same operational viscosities.
A 3.1cP oil is not particularly heavy for a 30wt oil.

I ran Mobil 1 5w20 in 1978 in engines calling for 10-30 and 10-40. Back then the only negitive I had was oil consumption was a little higher.
