I think what I did is what you, or, anyone else would have done.

I went with the FU filter because I was already at Walmart and Advavance Auto was 56 miles away (too far to travel for an AC DELCO filter).
My son did an OCI on my 07 F150 as well, with some 10W30 Synthetic Valvoline MaxLife and a FU oil filter.

Use the Shell. Add some motor oil saver. It's a high milage additive.
