My Honda is speced for 5W20 but is back-speced to accept 0W20 as well. I was pondering whether to blend 2.5qts of 0W20 with 2qts of 5W30 (NAPA synthetic oil). Do you guys see any issue with this blend? Only reason I was even thinking of doing this is because I have a case of 0W20 and a case of 5W30 (plus 3 quarts of 0W20 Valvoline Synpower, which is essentially the same thing as NAPA synthetic as Ashland makes both brands). I was originally going to use the 5W30 on my Acura but I have around 160 quarts of dino and high mileage 5W30 still waiting to be used. The Acura has never seen synthetic.

You bring up a couple of good points. I usually go camping for a week in July and this summer we'll be going through Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and back through Nevada. Maybe I'll just go with straight 5W30 as the Ridgeline will be towing a light popup (with 3 adults and 2 teens in the cab) through the desert.

I've been mixing 5W-20 and 0W-20 weight oils with 5w30 weight oil for years in Accords, Civics and now my wife's 2011 CR-V. I also ran an '02 Civic Si (spec'ed for 5W-20) on 5w30 for eight years. You'll never notice the difference, and it certainly won't do your engine any harm.

I'm sure Honda tested them and ran them pretty hard with 5w-20 ... You should be fine with 5w-20.
