The last time I checked Honda's 0W-20 was $7.70/L and cheaper by the case.
Toyota's 0W-20 is the best moly deal I'm aware of at about 6 bucks/L and cheaper by the case. It's 25 bucks for a 5L jug.
I like the moly count in Redline - but its insanely expensive here (only available by the quart, at $13 per quart). I like everything about the PP oil I use, except for its low moly count. It was a very good deal, though, at $19 for a 4 & 1/2 quart jug. Adding the LM mos2 dose I settled on, worked out to roughly the same moly count as Redline contains (there's enough info in the VOA section for anyone inclined to work the math out), but at far less cost.
Prior to finding the LM mos2 threads I'd beenh toying with the idea of tossing in a quart of Redline just to up the moly count. Going the LM route proved to be cheaper though, and more effective in that the only property being changed is the moly count (and I have it at about the same level as if I had a sump full of Redline, with 2 maintenance doses for future OCs still left in the bottle).
Edit: of course anyone afraid of additives, or think they are all snake oil, or that whatever oil you buy is already blended to perfection and should not be touched in any way, can ignore the above. I'm not out to change, or debate, the subject with minds already made up.
