I continue to say that small highly efficient window units ate totally the way to go. In the last 15 days the a/c in our bedroom was only 84kw. So really for 16 bucks a month we sleep in 68 F. During the day our other window unit(2) probably use maybe 25 bucks a month. Pretty had to beat that. My next 2 year project is to eliminate the window units and just install them directly in the wall. I have one ready to go as we speak.
I wish that reversible units were available for winter.
